Parasailing FAQ

Can anyone Parasail, and do I need any special skills to do so?
No special skills are needed. Virtually anyone can parasail. Our youngest flyer was 2 and our oldest was 92 years old. You do not need to know how to swim, steer, or do anything – simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride and view.
Do I get wet?
You will get your legs wet along the shore getting into our shuttle boat that takes you out to the parasail boat. You take off and land off of the flight deck on the back of the Parasail boat.
What is a dip?
During your flight, the captain will stop the boat and allow you to slowly drift down- toes in the water- and then he gently brings you back up. YES- it is the highlight of the trip.
How long does it take?
On average, about 45 minutes to an hour. This is the whole experience which includes the boat ride out, your flight, and getting you back to the shore. You are in flight for approximately 8 to 10 minutes for a Deluxe Flight & 12 to 15 minutes on Magnum flights.
What do I wear?
A swimsuit is best, but shorts or even pants are ok. Do not wear anything that you do not want to get wet or splashed on.
Can I take pictures?
Certainly! You can bring your own camera but remember that it may get wet or even dropped in the water. We also have a photographer on the boat for every flight. He will shoot about 35-50 photos and will provide you with the disc to take with you for $20. Additionally, we would like to encourage you to post any pictures that you have taken while flying with us on our Facebook page.
Can I go up with someone else and are there any weight restrictions?
Yes, you can fly by yourself or fly side by side (doubles or triples). Approximately 150 to 400 pounds may be in the chute at a time. This varies a little day to day due to weather conditions. No worries. Your captain is highly trained and will guide you through this magnificent experience!
